The default pricing plan is the Original, however ekit recommends switching to the Anytime plan. You may change plans free of charge up to three times a year (that year starts when you make the first call).

Activating your service

Your Belgium SIM card will provide you with a Belgium mobile phone number that is printed on the reverse side of your Belgium SIM card packaging.

To activate your service:

  1. Travel to Belgium.
  2. Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
  3. Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
  4. Turn your phone on.
  5. Type in PIN 1
  6. Start calling.

* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.

Making and receiving calls

How to make a call

To make an international call from your Belgium mobile phone dial 00 (or +), followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.

How family and friends call you

Family and friends need to dial the international prefix, followed by the country code 32 and your mobile phone number.
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 32 and then your mobile phone number.

Recharging your account

To add credit to your Belgium SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called Reload codes. You will find these vouchers at Proximus or Belgacom retailers, and also at the Post Office, gas stations or at newsagents displaying the Pay&Go logo in Belgium. They are available in 3 denominations: EUR 12.5 ($16 USD), EUR 25 ($32 USD) or EUR 50 ($64 USD). The card for EUR 50 gives you a free bonus of EUR 5.

To recharge your account:

  1. Purchase a recharge voucher.
  2. Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your 13 digit voucher code.
  3. Enter the code #121* followed by the 13 digit reload code
  4. Press [SEND]

Do not purchase another Belgium SIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!

Contacting Customer Service

Customer service for your Belgium SIM card is available 24/7 by dialing 555 from your mobile phone.

Service life

Every time you recharge your account, the validity of your SIM card will be extended for 365 days.

If you do not recharge your account within 365 days, your SIM card and phone number will be recycled and any remaining credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card.

To check your expiration date from your mobile phone:

  1. Dial #121#.
  2. Press the SEND key.
    You will receive a text message with the expiration date. This service is free

or

  1. Dial 1711
  2. Press the SEND key.
    Pay&Go will advise you of the precise amount of credit that you have left, the remaining period for making calls, as well as the last date for reloading your Pay&Go SIM card.
